Glerup Shoes

In 1993 Nanny Glerup from Denmark felted a pair of boots for the first time, and the wool came from her own Gotland sheep. The felted boots were well received among friends and family, so well, that Nanny started a small hobby production. This paved the way for the company Glerups.

We offer both a leather sole and natural rubber sole. Our soles meet the strict environmental requirements of the EU. The wool is washed in soft water, then carded and felted. The felt is formed into socks, which are steam-felted for a perfect fit before soft calfskin soles are glued, then sewn on, for long lasting durability. The rubber soles are designed and constructed with a special pattern that provides an excellent grip on different surfaces making them ideal for outdoor use.
